The clear purpose of Adventist education must be visible in all curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices. Organizational policies, resources, professional learning opportunities, and the various school support programs must align with the redemptive mission of Adventist education. Such a commitment will guide decisions at every level and propel all toward true educational excellence in a rapidly changing world.
Excellence of this type goes beyond a strong academic program. Only as educators abide in Christ, seeking to align themselves with His will, can they accomplish the sacred purpose to which they have been called. Only as educators “seek first the kingdom of God” (Matthew 6:33) will they achieve excellence in curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional learning, school support programs, and school leadership.
